TOLLESON, Ariz. — Case goods importer and manufacturer Legends Furniture has moved to a new climate controlled warehouse near Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam operated by Pan Pacific Logistics Corp.

Pan Pacific opened the 210,000-square-foot facility in 2016, and Legends began shipping from the facility in April. It replaces a Vietnam warehouse that Legends had occupied starting in 2013.

Legends Furniture recently moved to a warehouse in Vietnam operated by Pan Pacific Logistics Corp. It is climate controlled and has a pallet racking system that is seven racks high.

“The advantage for us comes from proximity to factories and superior operational capabilities,” noted Tim Donk, Legends’ director of marketing and business development.”

In additional to climate control capabilities, the warehouse has a pallet racking system that is seven racks high, officials noted. It also is close to port facilities and manufacturing plants in the Binh Duong region where Legends sources product.

“This new warehouse is amazing,” said Shankar Rathnam, chief operating officer at Legends. “It’s very clean and efficient, and it has one of the best climate control systems available, which is critical in Vietnam’s sweltering heat and humidity. Pan Pacific runs a spic and span operation and will be a great partner for Legends moving forward.”

The facility will warehouse about 250 containers of Legends’ product, including bedroom, dining, entertainment, occasional and home office furniture. Legends said it is shipping this product on mixed and shared containers from this facility.

The company also continues to ship product from its domestic warehouses in Tolleson, Ariz., and Lexington, N.C.
